Collaborate with a FirmRix Desk sit link

Meeting tabs pull people off the invoice or matter. FirmRix Desk keeps the huddle on the work already open in your operating system. Copy a sit link from Instant Sit or Sit Later; signed-in users join as themselves, guests enter a name — no second meeting product required for a four-seat huddle.

What a sit link is

A URL to an open Desk room. While the room is joinable, intended participants can open it in the browser. Treat it like a meeting password — share only with people who should sit. Capacity and rate limits protect the room without blocking legitimate guests.

Instant vs later

Instant Sit starts now. Sit Later sets date, time and duration and can add a Google Calendar template with the link in the details. Early guests wait in a lobby until the sit opens, so they never wonder whether the room is broken.

Identity

Signed-in FirmRix users keep their identity in the room. Guests join by display name without an account. Hosts need a free account to create rooms on /meet. That split keeps guest friction low while hosts remain accountable.

Not a webinar

Desk caps seats for huddles. Screen share stages the work crisply beside cameras. Audio starts first; camera stays optional. For the product story see /firmrix-desk; to start Instant Sit or Sit Later see /meet.

Questions

Do guests need accounts?
No. Guests need the sit link and a name. Hosts sign in free to create Instant Sit or Sit Later.
What if the link is ended?
Ended desks show a clear ended state. Unknown IDs show that the sit link is not valid.
Is Desk Zoom?
No. Desk is in-OS presence for sitting on FirmRix work — not an all-hands webinar product.
