Presence that belongs in the OS
Meeting tabs pull people off the invoice, matter, chair or consult room. Desk keeps the huddle on the same screen as the practice. Vertical labels include Review Desk, Chambers, Chair and Consult Room — one engine, industry language.
One sit link, anyone can join
Copy a URL from Desk. Signed-in colleagues sit as themselves. Guests enter a name. No extra meeting app is required for Instant Sit. Guests never receive PMS iframes or staff-only pins.
Audio first, camera optional
The mic starts so you can talk. Camera stays off until you choose. Screen share stages the shared window clearly beside participant video — built for crisp review of real work.
Instant Sit and Sit Later
Start immediately from /meet or the Desk menu, or schedule Sit Later with date, time and duration. Add the event to Google Calendar with the sit link in the details. Guests see a lobby until the sit opens.
Small rooms, real work
Desk caps joined seats so the room stays a huddle, not a webinar. It is not a Zoom replacement for all-hands. It is for sitting on the work with the people who need to decide.
Security of the sit link
Anyone with the live sit link can join while the Desk is open, subject to capacity and rate limits. Treat the URL like a meeting password: share with intended participants. Ended desks return a clear ended state; invalid IDs do not open a room.

01 Start a meeting
Open /meet for Instant Sit or Sit Later, or use FirmRix Desk in the OS header. Hosts sign in with a free account.
02 Share the URL
Send the sit link in chat, email or calendar. Guests open /desk/… and sit by name.
03 Stay on the work
Talk, share a window, keep the operating system in view. Leave when the work is done.

- Choose Sit Later on /meet or in the Desk menu: set date, time and duration. Copy the sit link and add a Google Calendar template. Guests wait in a lobby until the sit opens.
- What are vertical names for Desk?
- Accounting often says Review Desk, legal Chambers, beauty Chair, healthcare Consult Room. Firm-to-firm engagement uses Table. The product brand is FirmRix Desk.
